The Conference “Through their Eyes: perceptions of the EU in the Maghreb and Western Balkans” took place in Perugia, at the Department of Political Science, as the kick-off event of our project.

In the first panel, Antonia Battaglia (EU – DG Near), Sonia Lucarelli (University of Bologna) and Nicoletta Pirozzi (IAI) discussed the significance of the external perceptions of the EU for the improvements of EU global role.

The roundtable involved all the project participants for a first exchange of views on the main topics of the project.
